Post-Evaluation Adjustments:

I added 2 cups of water to the pot after removing 8 oz. judge's cup to see if I could tone down the intensity. This successfully reduced the intensity, but the resultant chili was way too thin. It was overcooked, though not burnt after I simmered it a while to try to thicken it up again.
